we believe dancers are magical beings who help bring work and ideas into existence. dancers are the most extraordinary medium and fill our studio spaces with life as they bring movement from an idea to fully formed reality. our community, dancers, movers, and dancing beings at genesis are the studios creators.

CREATORS agree to move from love, respect those around them, themselves, and the shared space created by all of the GENESIS COMMUNITY. CREATORS agree to honor their bodies, help facilitate safe spaces for themselves and others, and encourage the artistry of movement. I also agree to abide by any posted signs, regulations, and compliances set forth from and by the studio from its employees, agents, or administrators and to be a good steward of those, the items, and the facilities around me.

GENESIS offers class for all humans 13 years and older.

GENESIS seeks to create an environment where dancers feel safe and protected. in order to create this we ask that anyone not taking the current scheduled class clear our lobby. Our lobby is open 15 minutes before a class begins and during the 15 minute layover period between classes. The lobby will remained closed all other times.

15 minutes after a class has begun (to allow for late arrivals)

15 minutes after last class of day

When you book your class, you are holding a space on our studio that is no longer available to our other CREATORS.

    •    All cancelations must be done FOUR HOURS PRIOR to the class start time in order to receive a class credit to be used for a future class. Any cancelations after four hours or no-shows will result in loss of class.

    •    If you do not cancel your class and you do not attend, you will be considered a "No Show".

    •    Both a "Late Cancel" or "No Show" will result in loss of class.

GENESIS follows the COVID-19 guidelines posted by LA County and will continue to update in real time if/when they are changed. Currently our policies are as advised below. If you sign up for class, an event, or booking at GENESIS STUDIOS you are agreeing to our policies.

Starting January 2024 GENESIS STUDIOS efforts are focused on adding more value to dancers by providing more class time to train while simultaneously supporting a dancers ability to financially support themselves in class costs as their income fluctuates.

GENESIS STUDIOS now offers a SLIDING SCALE payment option for class, with a minimum rate of $20 per class.

We believe in the good faith of our community and know that dancers value the training they receive. It is with this foundation that we entrust our community with the opportunity to adjust a class rate as needed while still supporting the value our talented ARTISTS offer as their financial position fluctuates. Our intention with this shift in class rates offers accessibility while still honoring the value of dance educators, and plays a significant role in the greater conversation of honoring one another and holding value for our craft.

On average, class in Los Angeles, CA costs $22 a class for a 90 minute class. We suggest a range of $20-$30 dollars for all our classes.
